Hello,
Everyone.

"I hope you will go out and let stories happen to you. And that you will work with them. Water them with your blood and tears and your laughter 'til they bloom, 'til you yourself burst into bloom."
-Clarissa Pinkola Estes, PhD

Honouring Your Humanity
Here, it is understood that the weight you carry isn’t yours alone; it is shaped by your lived experiences, relationships, and systems you live in. That’s why a whole-person approach is important, listening not only to the pain, but to the stories you carry about yourself, others, and the world around you.
It is recognized that systemic oppression—such as racism, colonialism, ableism, classism, homophobia, transphobia, and other forms of injustice—can deeply shape how you may experience yourself and your mental health. Our commitment is to offer care that sees these realities, hold space for you, and work toward healing that is not just individual, but collective.
You will be seen beyond symptoms or labels, honoring your story, identity, and the social and systemic factors shaping your life and well-being.
Land Acknowledgement
Integrity Counselling and Support Services practices on the unceded, unsurrendered Territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabe Nation.
It is recognized that the ability to live and practice on this land—what is now called Ottawa—is shaped by historical/ongoing colonial violence and unearned privilege for those of us who are white settlers on stolen land. Colonization is not only part of Canada’s past—it continues today through lack of access to clean water, safe housing, and cultural safety.
For those of us who have been given the privilege to walk alongside those who have asked for help in their own healing, we have a continued responsibility to reflect on the harmful legacy of social work and mental health "care", including its ongoing role in the surveillance and removal of children from Indigenous and Black families—and to actively resist reproducing harm.
This acknowledgment is merely a starting point, not an end. We must remain committed to learning from Indigenous voices, staying accountable, and offering care that centers dignity, justice, and truth for everyone.
